About Us

Opportunities begin with conversation

In 1954 when my grandfather and his father purchased our farm on Howell Road they were in the business of growing vegetables. Here is where my father and his sister were raised until 1979 when a house on the property was built for his growing family. As a young boy this is where I learned to grow crops and provide fresh food for a growing world. In the finial year of growing vegetables in 1999, I had asked if I could grow a crop for the upcoming 2000 growing season as I continued to work a day job. In 2009 my wife and I made the leap to purchase our farm to begin a family of our own.

Trial and error is the best way to learn.

As 2014 came to a close and the need for more hands on growing became more relevant to me, a friend mentioned I should try growing hops for the local craft beer industry. With hours of research, phone calls and the wonderful internet, three varieties of 100 plants each was planted in 2015.
